ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEERING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF WYOMING
Architectural Engineering at the University of Wyoming offers a unique blend of architectural and building design, structural engineering,
and mechanical engineering. The BSARE is an ABET-accredited four-year program that contains extensive work in practical elements of building design and
functional behavior. Courses range from basic plumbing and electrical systems, building materials, CAD, courses in architectural design,
mechanical engineering (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, air systems, hydronics, and acoustics), structural analysis and
design (concrete, steel, wood, and masonry). Advanced/graduate level courses are also offered in these areas.
UW BSARE graduates are in strong demand and find employment in AE firms nationwide. Students with architectural inclination may
continue their education and pursue a master's degree in architecture at other institutions. The UW BSARE maintains an enrollment of
about 200 students.
UW has eleven faculty who teach in the BSARE program.
