Your Vote for the New ASCE Governance Is a Vote for the Architectural Engineering Institute In November 2003, the ASCE Board of Direction recommended a constitutional amendment to the membership that would alter the governance structure of the Society. This proposal must now be approved by two-thirds of those members who vote in the national election starting in June 2004. Voting Schedule All AEI members who are also members of ASCE are encouraged to vote for the new governance structure. The June issue of ASCE News will include the ballots for the governance change. The election closes on AUGUST 13th, so please mail your ballot to the address indicated on the ballot before this date. For more information about the new governance and voting, please visit the ASCE Web site at http://www.asce.org/governance/ Stan Caldwell, AEI Board Member, Appointed to the Texas Joint Advisory Committee on the Practice of Engineering and Architecture On April 5, 2004, Stan R.
