Sara Clow is a dynamic food systems entrepreneur and leader with nearly two decades of business development and operations experience focused on scaling innovative programs and products that positively impact farmers, eaters, and the earth. Prior to her focus in sustainable food and agriculture, Sara was an analyst at a private equity fund in San Francisco where she gained valuable insight into portfolio management and the importance of building trusted relationships and partnerships. During her transition ‘from finance to food’, her original dream was to farm. She WOOF'd (Willing Workers on Organic Farms) in New Zealand for six heavenly months but eventually took the advice of farmer-mentors who encouraged her to work alongside them in business and service, instead of in the field. A systems thinker and proud ‘generalist’ she excels in building businesses and collaborations with actionable and impactful outcomes; attracting catalytic capital to invest in thriving food systems for all. She has partnered with 200+ farmers from coast to coast, implementing systems, technology, policy and infrastructure in order to increase profitability, sustainability and overall quality of life for the ultimate entrepreneurs…farmers.
Sara graduated from Vanderbilt University.
